She wanted to build a bridge back to her body

A couple of months ago, a woman reached out to me.

She is a mother, a therapist, and a caregiver.

Someone who had spent years supporting others - but she has started to realize that, from a young age, she’s been ignoring her own body’s messages, which started a pattern of disconnecting to survive.

She feels something within her calling her to something more.  She knows her patterns are no longer sustainable, but isn't sure how to move forward.  She wants to get to know herself in a new way through a deeper listening to her own body.   To break generational patterns and it's important to her to empower her daughter with body wisdom and emotional health.

She said “It feels like there’s a river between me and my body.  What I need is…a bridge.”

In our group, she started building it.

  • With movement.

  • With nervous system support.

  • With community and depth.

  • With safety, slowness, and a kind of remembering that doesn’t rely on words.

Now she’s noticing her body again — not as an obstacle or an unknown entity, but as a wise companion.  Her relationships and interactions are changing.  She’s reconnecting not just for herself, but for her daughter, too.

If you're feeling unsure in your body, and need support reconnecting, know that you're not alone, and you're not broken.

I hold a deep, year-long container for healing, integration, and reclaiming your relationship with your body, and would love to invite you to learn more about our next Whole Body Recovery Program, starting this Fall.

Warmly,

Margery
